With the victory, Westmoreland upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Watertown (Watertown, TN) to play the Purple Tigers in a 2A District 6 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Purple Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 4-10.

Next up, the Panthers play the Creek Wood Red Hawks (Charlotte, TN) in a 3A District 9 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 57-48 non-league win over Harpeth (Kingston Springs, TN).
