The Ansonia Chargers basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Naugatuck Greyhounds to 33 in the Chargers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wolcott for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass contest on Friday, January 6. Ansonia will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-33 non-league loss to Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 5-2.

The Greyhounds (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Woodland Regional prevailed over Derby (Derby, CT), 61-12, in a league contest.
