Blanco Panthers (Blanco, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lutheran Mustangs (San Antonio, TX), 56-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Blanco upgrades its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Ingram Moore (Ingram, TX) to play the Warriors in a 3A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 6. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-12. Ingram Moore lost 54-23 in their recent non-league bout against Poth (Poth, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats (New Braunfels, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 4 bout, on Friday, January 6. Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 18-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 46-13 non-league loss to Brentwood Christian (Austin, TX).
