In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX), by a count of 54-46.
The Cougars (17-9) will now prepare for their game against Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX). The Mustangs enter the 4A Region III District 24 game with a 13-11 record.
With the defeat, China Spring moves to 8-13 on the year. The Cougars travel to Connally (Waco, TX) to face the Cadets in a 4A Region III District 23 game on Friday, January 6. The Cadets enter the game with a record of 17-6. Connally won 41-28 in their recent non-league game against Kinkaid (Houston, TX)
