The Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) basketball knocked off the host Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), 55-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Bears (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Comeaux went down by Abbeville (Abbeville, LA), 63-56, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Crowley for a 3A District 5 test on Tuesday, January 10. Kaplan will encounter a Gent squad coming off a 46-40 non-league loss to Westgate (New Iberia, LA). The Gent record now stands at 2-11.
