Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dakota Valley Panthers (North Sioux City, SD) and the visiting Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors (Sergeant Bluff, IA), saw Dakota Valley's basketball squad hold off Sergeant Bluff-Luton by a tally of 56-53.
With the victory, Dakota Valley improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to West Central (Hartford, SD) to confront the Trojans in a A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
Next up, the Warriors confront the Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders (Sioux City, IA) in a Missouri River challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Sergeant Bluff-Luton will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 50-40 league win over Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD).
