St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Doyle Tigers (Livingston, LA), 40-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Helena College and Career Academy upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Hawks host Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA) to play the Green Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Green Devils go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Plaquemine won 54-50 in their recent non-league bout against Ascension Catholic (Donaldsonville, LA)

Next up, the Tigers confront the South Terrebonne Gators (Bourg, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Doyle will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 46-16 non-league loss to E.D. White (Thibodaux, LA).
