Pocono Mountain West Panthers (Pocono Summit, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Freedom Patriots (Bethlehem, PA), 55-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pocono Mountain West upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers host Emmaus (Emmaus, PA) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Emmaus won 46-40 in their recent league bout against Northampton (Northampton, PA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Easton Area Rovers (Easton, PA) in a Eastern Pennsylvania - Steel bout, on Friday, January 6. Freedom will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Rovers go into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 64-32 non-league win over East Stroudsburg South (East Stroudsburg, PA).
