Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds (Wolsey, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Miller Rustlers (Miller, SD), 52-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wolsey-Wessington upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Warbirds host James Valley Christian (Huron, SD) to play the Vikings in a B Region 2 bout on Thursday, January 5. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 4-0. James Valley Christian won 60-48 in their recent non-league bout against DeSmet (DeSmet, SD)

Next up, the Rustlers play the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers (Mobridge, SD) in a A Region 6 bout, on Thursday, January 5. Miller will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 70-45 non-league loss to Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD).
