Danbury Hatters (Danbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY), 81-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Danbury upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season.

Next up, the Middie Bears play the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Wizards go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 51-32 non-league win over Monticello (Monticello, NY).
