Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hickory Christian Academy Knights (Hickory, NC), 69-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gaston Christian upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Eagles host Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Carmel Christian 51-51 in their recent non-league bout against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Carolina Day Wildcats (Asheville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Hickory Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
