Community Braves (Nevada, TX) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Royse City Bulldogs (Royse City, TX), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Braves confront the Braswell Bengals (Little Elm, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Community will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Bengals enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Reedy (Frisco, TX).

The Bulldogs now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jacksonville for a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. Royse City will confront a Fightin' Indians team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Fightin' Indians record now stands at 1-1.
