Next, the Phoenix confront the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ) in a 3A Southwest challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Tonopah Valley will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 6-2 league loss to Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ).

The Eagles now have a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arizona Lutheran Academy for a 3A Southwest challenge on Thursday, January 5.
