North Carolina High School Basketball - Lee County can't hold off Apex Friendship

The Lee County Yellow Jackets basketball team (Sanford, NC), was nudged 66-63 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC)

The Patriots now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Green Hope for a 4A Southeast Wake battle on Friday, January 5. Apex Friendship will battle a Falcons team coming off a 52-51 non-league win over Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-9.

The Yellow Jackets (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC). The Jets come into the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Jordan-Matthews edged Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC), 70-66, in a league battle.
