Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy Dragons (Saginaw, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Atherton Wolverines (Burton, MI), 59-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Dragons host Calvary Baptist Academy (Midland, MI) to play the Kings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Kings go into the bout with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Wolverines play the Owendale-Gagetown Bulldogs (Owendale, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Atherton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 50-39 non-league loss to Ashley (Ashley, MI).
