The Newcomerstown Trojans basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Beallsville Blue Devils to 33 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Trojans now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Malvern for a Inter-Valley contest on Friday, January 5. Newcomerstown will battle a Hornets team coming off a 75-64 non-league win over Maysville (Zanesville, OH). The Hornets record now stands at 9-0.
The Blue Devils (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Paden City (Paden City, WV). The Wildcats enter the Mason-Dixon contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Paden City was defeated by Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV), 76-43, in a non-league contest.
