Grayling Vikings (Grayling, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cheboygan Chiefs (Cheboygan, MI), 54-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grayling upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Harbor Springs (Harbor Springs, MI) to play the Rams in a Lake Michigan bout on Friday, January 5. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Harbor Springs won 52-43 in their recent non-league bout against Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Cheboygan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
