Coleman Comets (Coleman, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lakeview Wildcats (Lakeview, MI), 49-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coleman upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Comets host Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI) to clash with the Huskies in a Mid-State bout on Friday, January 5. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Breckenridge won 56-45 in their recent non-league bout against Calvary Baptist Academy (Midland, MI)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Saranac Redhawks (Saranac, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Lakeview will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 57-48 league win over Dansville (Dansville, MI).
