Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Henry County Wildcats (New Castle, KY), 84-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spencer County upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Bears travel to Woodford County (Versailles, KY) to play the Yellowjackets in a District 30 bout on Friday, January 5. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Woodford County lost 70-44 in their recent non-league bout against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Henry County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 63-55 non-league loss to Walnut Hills (Cincinnati, OH).
