Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Kaynor Tech Panthers (Waterbury, CT), 78-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shepaug Valley upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Spartans host Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT) to play the Chiefs in a Berkshire bout on Friday, January 5. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Nonnewaug won 80-62 in their recent non-league bout against Oxford (Oxford, CT)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bullard-Havens Tigers (Bridgeport, CT) in a Connecticut Technical - West bout, on Friday, January 5. Kaynor Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
