The Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting St. Louis Sharks (St. Louis, MI), 54-40 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Vandals (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Fulton (Middleton, MI). The Pirates go into the Mid-State test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Fulton went down by Ithaca (Ithaca, MI), 60-32, in a non-league test.
The Sharks now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hemlock for a Tri-Valley - Blue test on Friday, January 5. St. Louis will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 61-35 non-league win over Vassar (Vassar, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 4-4.
