    • North Carolina High School Basketball - Pisgah tipped by Swain County

    January 3, 2024: Bryson City, NC 28713

    In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team scored a tight 72-69 triumph over the Pisgah Bears.

    In their next game, the Maroon Devils meet the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a 1A Smoky Mountain match, on Friday, January 5. Swain County will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Braves enter the match with a 3-5 record after their 67-62 non-league loss to Asheville (Asheville, NC).

    With the defeat, Pisgah moves to 9-3 on the year. The Bears host Franklin (Franklin, NC) to meet the Panthers in a 3A Mountain 7 match on Friday, January 5. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 8-4. Franklin lost 68-64 in their recent non-league match against Andrews (Andrews, NC)
