In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars basketball team scored a tight 45-39 triumph over the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls.
In their next game, the Cougars face the Randleman Tigers (Randleman, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont match, on Friday, January 5. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to move on its 3-10 season record.
