Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sevier County Smoky Bears (Sevierville, TN) and the visiting Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL), saw Sevier County's basketball squad wallop Cullman by a tally of 55-12.

With the victory, Sevier County improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Smoky Bears travel to Jefferson County (Dandridge, TN) to play the Patriots in a 4A District 2 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Jefferson County won 58-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Carter (Strawberry Plains, TN)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Hartselle Tigers (Hartselle, AL) in a 6A Area 14 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Cullman will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 37-35 non-league loss to Tullahoma (Tullahoma, TN).
