Tennessee High School Basketball - East Poinsett County topples Mitchell

January 3, 2024: Memphis, TN 38109

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) basketball squad beat the host Mitchell Tigers (Memphis, TN), by a count of 47-33.

The Warriors (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR). The Greyhounds go into the 2A Region 3 outing with a 9-10 record. In their last outing, Marmaduke was topped by Riverside (Lake City, AR), 70-47, in a non-league outing.

The Tigers now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Wooddale for a 2A District 16 outing on Friday, January 5. Mitchell will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 44-16 non-league loss to Kingsbury (Memphis, TN). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-6.
