In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Spruce Mountain Phoenix basketball team scored a decisive 65-31 triumph over the Maranacook Black Bears.
In their next game, the Phoenix meet the Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME) in a B South match, on Saturday, January 6. Spruce Mountain will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 44-37 non-league loss to Mount Abram (Strong, ME).
