Middletown Mustangs (Middletown, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Willits Wolverines (Willits, CA), 50-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Middletown upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Clear Lake (Lakeport, CA) to play the Cardinals in a North Central I bout on Friday, January 5. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Clear Lake lost 62-17 in their recent non-league bout against Fortuna (Fortuna, CA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Cloverdale Eagles (Cloverdale, CA) in a North Central I bout, on Friday, January 5. Willits will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 63-32 league win over Upper Lake (Upper Lake, CA).
