Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT), 38-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Plainville upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Blue Devils host Hall (West Hartford, CT) to play the Titans in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout on Friday, January 5. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Hall lost 51-32 in their recent league bout against Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT)

Next up, the Panthers play the Farmington River Hawks (Farmington, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Platt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The River Hawks go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 61-41 non-league loss to Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT).
