Bleckley County Royals (Cochran, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA), 39-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bleckley County upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Royals host Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Purple Hurricane clash with the Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 4. Fitzgerald will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
