With the win, Garinger upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Charlotte Catholic won 43-40 in their recent non-league bout against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Statesville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 32-19 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
