Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) and the visiting Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), saw Lewis County's basketball squad hold off Hoover by a count of 46-45.

With the victory, Lewis County upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Preston (Kingwood, WV) to play the Knights in a challenge on Friday, January 5. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Huskies play the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
