Nebraska High School Basketball - Ainsworth nips Mullen

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ainsworth Bulldogs (Ainsworth, NE) and the host Mullen Broncos (Mullen, NE), observed Ainsworth's basketball team edge Mullen by a score of 49-45.

The Bulldogs (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Mary's was tipped by Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE), 71-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Broncos battle the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves (Maywood, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Mullen will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Garden County (Oshkosh, NE).
