In Friday's non-league contest, the host Alexander Central Cougars basketball team scored a good 44-29 win over the North Wilkes Vikings.

The Cougars (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Greyhounds come into the non-league contest with a 5-6 record.
