The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX) and the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats (Dallardsville, TX), observed Latexo's basketball team overcome Big Sandy by a margin of 66-48.

The Tigers (13-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region III District 20 challenge with a 19-2 record. In their last challenge, Normangee defeated Lovelady (Lovelady, TX), 42-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Big Sandy will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Fighting Owls come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 46-38 non-league win over Hempstead (Hempstead, TX).
