The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Deuel Cardinals (Clear Lake, SD) and the visiting Britton-Hecla Braves (Britton, SD), observed Deuel's basketball team knock off Britton-Hecla by a score of 73-53.
The Cardinals (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against DeSmet (DeSmet, SD). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, DeSmet dropped by St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD), 56-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Braves encounter the Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] Tigers (Rosholt, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Britton-Hecla will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 80-41 non-league loss to Waubay/Summit (Waubay, SD).
