The Elba Bluejays (Elba, NE) basketball were winner over the visiting Burwell Longhorns (Burwell, NE), 41-21 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Bluejays now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Newman Grove/St. Edward for a Freelance bout on Tuesday, January 7. Elba will play a Panthers team coming off a 54-21 non-league win over Neligh-Oakdale (Neligh, NE). The Panthers record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Burwell falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Heartland Lutheran (Grand Island, NE) to play the Red Hornets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Red Hornets go into the bout with a record of 1-7.
