The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA) and the visiting Campbell Spartans (Smyrna, GA), observed Walton's basketball team knock off Campbell by a score of 78-62.

The Raiders (12-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Effingham County (Springfield, GA). The Rebels come into the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Effingham County was knocked off by Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA), 44-25, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Paulding County Patriots (Dallas, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Campbell will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 82-62 non-league win over Adairsville (Adairsville, GA).
