The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Centennial Eagles (Gresham, OR) and the host South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR), observed Centennial's basketball team edge South Salem by a margin of 78-73.

The Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Canby (Canby, OR). The Cougars come into the 5A Northwest Oregon challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Canby was tipped by West Linn (West Linn, OR), 72-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Saxons battle the Caldera (Bend, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. South Salem will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record.
