Next, the Rams encounter the Eastwood Troopers (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Montwood will attempt to improve on its 18-4 season record. The Troopers come into the test with a 17-5 record after their 35-28 league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX).

The Dragons (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 6-5 record.
