In Friday's non-league contest, the host Rock Island Rocks basketball team scored a good 65-50 win over the DeKalb Barbs.

The Rocks (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 5-8 record.

In their next game, the Barbs battle the Neuqua Valley Wildcats (Naperville, IL) in a DuPage Valley contest, on Tuesday, January 7. DeKalb will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record.
