With the victory, Saltillo advances its record to 14-10 on the year. The Lions host Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX) to face the Bears in a 1A Region III District 20 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Bears enter the match with a record of 6-12. Sulphur Bluff lost 57-56 in their recent non-league match against Boles (Quinlan, TX)

The Hornets now own a 6-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fannindel for a 1A Region III District 19 match on Friday, January 10.
