In Friday's non-league contest, the host Superior Central Cougars basketball team scored a good 51-35 triumph over the Engadine Eagles.
The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI). The Black Bears go into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Big Bay de Noc topped Mackinac Island (Mackinac Island, MI), 60-27, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Cedarville Trojans (Cedarville, MI) in a Eastern Upper Peninsula contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Engadine will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 52-47 non-league win over Alanson (Alanson, MI).
