The La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) basketball edged the host Glen Rose Tigers (Glen Rose, TX), 52-46 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to West for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. La Vega will play a Trojans team coming off a 61-44 non-league loss to Keene (Keene, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 11-7.
With the loss, Glen Rose falls to 17-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX) to play the Rams in a 4A Region I District 6 bout on Friday, January 10. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-16.
