The Muhlenberg County Mustangs basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Grayson County Cougars to 63 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Caldwell County for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. Muhlenberg County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 49-46 non-league loss to Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Grayson County falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host W.E.B. DuBois Academy (Louisville, KY) to confront the Lions in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Lions go into the game with a record of 4-4. W.E.B. DuBois Academy won 62-50 in their recent non-league game against Mason County (Maysville, KY)
