Maryland High School Basketball - La Plata triumphant over Great Mills

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) and the host Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD), observed La Plata's basketball team overwhelm Great Mills by a margin of 75-49.

The Warriors (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Cavaliers come into the Southern Maryland challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Calvert was trounced by St. Charles (Waldorf, MD), 69-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Great Mills will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.
