In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Lena Wildcats basketball team scored a close 61-59 win over the Gresham Community Wildcats.
The Wildcats (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Oneida Nation (Oneida, WI). The Thunderhawks come into the Marinette & Oconto contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Oneida Nation edged Bowler (Bowler, WI), 75-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Elcho Hornets (Elcho, WI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Gresham Community will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 84-45 non-league loss to Wausaukee (Wausaukee, WI).
