Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the McDonogh 35 Roneagles (New Orleans, LA) and the visiting Lee Generals (Huntsville, AL), saw McDonogh 35's basketball team top Lee by a tally of 69-61.

The Roneagles now possess a 14-4 record. They play next when they host West Jefferson for a non-league bout on Monday, January 6.

With the loss, Lee falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Buckhorn (New Market, AL) to play the Bucks in a 6A Area 16 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Bucks go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Buckhorn won 54-50 in their recent league bout against Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL)
