The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Thorndale Bulldogs (Thorndale, TX) and the visiting Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX), observed Thorndale's basketball team knock off Little River Academy by a score of 59-42.

The Bulldogs (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Granger (Granger, TX). The Lions come into the 2A Region IV District 27 challenge with a 8-7 record.

In their next game, the Bumblebees encounter the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Little River Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record.
