The Mingus Marauders got by the visiting Sunnyside Blue Devils basketball squad by a final score of 58-57 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Marauders clash with the Lee Williams Volunteers (Kingman, AZ) in a 4A Grand Canyon outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Mingus will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Volunteers come into the outing with a 4-6 record after their 66-57 non-league loss to Spring Valley (Las Vegas, NV).

The Blue Devils (7-9) will now prepare for their outing against Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ). The Bears come into the non-league outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Bradshaw Mountain held off Mohave (Bullhead City, AZ), 64-38, in a league outing.
