The Salesian Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA) basketball edged the visiting Pioneer Titans (Whittier, CA), 62-58 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Amat for a Camino Real bout on Monday, January 6. Salesian will play a Lancers team coming off a 64-54 non-league loss to Great Oak (Temecula, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Pioneer falls to 15-2 on the campaign. The Titans host Glenn (Norwalk, CA) to play the Eagles in a 605 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Glenn won 49-42 in their recent non-league bout against Legacy College Prep (Santa Ana, CA)
